Thanks to Warren County High School teacher Patrick Farris, the county's annual Festival of Leaves included a running race for the first time in a decade and a half! Forty participants showed up on a bright & crisp fall morning to take on the moderately hilly five kilometer (3.1 mile) course, with WCHS students serving as course marshals. Mike Tanner and Ruth Riemenschneider went virtually unchallenged for the men's and women's victories. A fun run/walk down to the Shenandoah River and back was also held, and numerous prizes were handed out after the race on the steps of WCHS. Names of SVR members at the time of the race are in bold print. If you spot any mistakes in the results, contact results guy Karsten Brown.
